Coda began in 2011 in Indonesia. At that time, a credit card was the only way to buy digital content. The problem: 0.5% of the population had one. So our founders, Neil and Paul, built a solution. Linking locally trusted payment methods to global online commerce. For users, it meant access. For publishers, a new opportunity. For us, it was just the beginning.    

Building a commerce highway

Next came gaming. A thriving industry but a place where access to content was held back by the same limited payment options. So Neil and Paul created two new solutions: Codapay and Codashop. The first, a plug-and-play API allowing publishers to accept over 400+ payment methods with a single integration. Direct carrier billing to ewallets. Instantly and effortlessly. The second, a marketplace for in-game currencies and content. Minimizing fees and maximizing conversion rates for game publishers. In turn, growing revenue and reach with ease.

Growing global

Over the next decade, Codapay and Codashop became our launchpad. Expanding globally. Creating more ways to pay. Fully customizable. Out-of-app and in-game. Then we introduced direct-to-consumer web store experiences through Coda Custom Commerce. Extended their reach through the Coda Distribution network. Deepened loyalty through programs like Coda Rewards. And also pushed beyond gaming. Partnering with publishers across the content economy, from entertainment to online dating. For everyone, and anyone.
