Back to 2020, when Mihoyo released Genshin Impact, the game achieved massive success since its launch. The game earned over $100 million in its first two weeks, making it the biggest global launch ever for a Chinese-developed game. In Southeast countries like Malaysia, over 50% users are making payments through local carrier billing(e.g. Celcom, Umobile, Digi), which could be troublesome for in-app purchases

In Latam regions like Brazil, over 40% of the players are making payment with Pix (local bank transfer and QR payments), which is not supported by in-app purchases by either iOS or GooglePlay

Increased Player Convenience
