[Asia, 8 August] – Coda has unveiled Coda Rewards, a loyalty program that allows users to earn rewards for purchases made on Codashop, a global marketplace for in-game currencies and content. These rewards can then be used to receive discounts on future purchases. The introduction of Coda Rewards underscores Coda’s commitment to driving stronger demand for publishers and better value for Codashop users. Coda Rewards works for publishers across Coda’s own store environment (Codashop) and in publishers’ own first-party D2C web stores (Custom Commerce).
“Having operated Codashop, our own D2C web store, for almost a decade, we know that rewards programs are crucial for growth. Coda Rewards not only encourages users to explore Codashop’s offerings – leading to higher spend and transaction volumes – but also enriches their overall purchasing and gaming experience,” says Mukul Chawla, Managing Director & Global Head of Payment Partnerships at Coda.
To date, Coda Rewards has been launched in Brazil, Bolivia, France, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Peru, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines. There is no cap on the number of rewards users can earn, and it is valid for purchases made using eligible payment methods.
To get started, users will need to have a Codashop account and purchase game and app credits exclusively through Codashop to start accumulating rewards. These rewards will be stored in users’ Codashop accounts, with each Coda Reward being equivalent to one unit of their local currency.
